Micah and Lana Anderson are Union County natives with a deep connection to the area. After graduating from La Grande High School, Lana studied anthropology at Hawaii Pacific University, while Micah earned his degrees in biology and economics at Oregon State University’s Honors College. Lana returned to the Grande Ronde Valley before Micah, obtaining her real estate license in 2013 and quickly became a top producer.

 

Meanwhile, Micah explored various roles in hospitality management and specialty retail sales in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and Northwest Montana before coming home in 2017.

 

In early 2024, the Andersons made a significant move by purchasing John J. Howard and Associates, is a well-established real estate company with offices in La Grande and Baker City. They rebranded the business as High Country Realty Professionals, maintaining both offices and the property management business. The Andersons have personal investments in short-term, long-term, and commercial rental properties in Union County, showcasing their expertise in finding profitable investments and their commitment to the community.

 

When not busy with their real estate ventures, Micah and Lana prioritize spending time with their four children and two dogs. They often enjoy local adventures, like trail running, mountain biking, skiing, and rafting, and occasionally venture the the Oregon Coast for surfing and beach outings with their pups. The Andersons love to travel internationally, and make a point to leave the country at least once a year—a practice that continually deepens their appreciation for the place they are grateful to call home.
